Frames Of Perspective

Canon Pakistan in collaboration with Instameet Islamabad held its first photographic exhibition “frames of perspective” at PNCA Islamabad on Saturday, 12th march 2016. Passionate photographers & Instagrammers community from Islamabad showcased 87 images representing culture, heritage and nature of Pakistan.


Instameet Islamabad is an online community of the twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi based photographers. Instagram launched back in 2010 and instantly became the most popular platform amongst the photographers community of the world which later on initiated the Instameet Programs around the world, encouraging the instagram communities in various cities to hold Instameets, strengthening the community. It’s a small way of bringing the photography community together living in the same city and sharing the same interests. Instameet Islamabad have been actively organizing photo walks and have been arranging hi- tea interaction sessions for the photographers at the small scale.

The idea behind this particular exhibition was to bring the young talented photographers of twin cities in the limelight. It was be a great opportunity for these photographers to showcase their creativity which had been limited to the Social Networking Sites only.

“Frames of Perspective” is the First Instagram Pakistan based Photography Exhibition and Instameet Islamabad deserves all the credit for pulling off the show.

Frames of perspective was inaugurated by Syed Mehdi Buhkari, a professional photographer and a writer. He started photography with a SLR camera in 2004. His photography related articles are being published in the leading newspapers.

Mahmood Naqvi, the Managing Director of MBM was the guest of honor. Shahrukh Satti was the jury.

To encourage the young hobbyist photographer’s canon Pakistan gave away certificate of participation to the 29 photographers.
